What is EDIH Southwest?
Generating competitive advantages through the digitalisation of their products or services continues to pose major challenges for many companies and institutions. In order to provide the easiest possible access to the necessary technologies, the European Union is establishing regional innovation centres for digitisation, which are also networked across Europe. These so-called "European Digital Innovation Hubs" (EDIHs) bundle the various offers and expertise of the individual actors in their respective regions and are thus a direct point of contact for companies. In the southwest of Baden-Wuerttemberg, these are 24 actors in the EDIH Southwest under the coordination of Hahn-Schickard, who see themselves as service providers for digitalisation in the region and can look back on many years of experience and expertise in the areas of consulting, training and technology transfer.
Corresponding offers for regional industry, the public sector and founders include, among other things, advisory talks, workshops and training courses, feasibility studies, access to laboratories and test environments, development projects for functional samples ("proof of principle"), support in the search for financing opportunities or even suitable personnel, as well as the observation of markets and trends.
